Here at Winstanleys Pramworld we often receive a lot of recurring questions from our customers about the products we sell and their features. A common question comes from customers who have purchased a Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix or Maxi-Cosi Pebble infant carrier and contact the store to ask us where the car seat's hood is. Many people think their Cabriofix or Pebble's hood is missing but I can assure you this is not the case!
Due to the design of the infant carriers the hoods are actually tucked away out of sight, so it isn’t surprising most people assume their infant carrier doesn't have one! The hood is in the same place for both the Cabriofix and Pebble; there are just slightly different ways to get to them.
The Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix
They are found tucked away at the top of the car seat where the fabric meets the plastic base. On the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix there is a button behind this area. Once pressed it will widen the space of where the fabric and plastic meet. Feeling in between with your fingers you will then be able to locate the hood, pull this completely out and attach the fabric on to the handle of the car seat.
The Maxi-Cosi Pebble / Pebble Plus
The Maxi-Cosi Pebble is slightly different, as there's no button to be found at the back. Instead you must peel back the rubber area that meets the fabric. There you will find the hood which will have two rubber hooks that you can attach over the handle bar to keep the hood up. You can also pull the hood out with these hooks.
So it is that simple, just quite hard to figure out straight away. As someone who demonstrates and installs car seats every day, I hope this helps a lot of people who struggled with this common problem.
