Introducing the Van Gogh special edition of the iconic Bugaboo Bee3, an homage to the legendary Dutch painter and a mobile embodiment of his 19th Century 'Almond Blossom' masterpiece.
The silk-like sun canopy features an elegant spring-inspired print evocative of blossoms in the spring, representing new life and new beginnings.
A brief history...
Vincent van Gogh rebelliously transgressed the artistic traditions of his time by experimenting playfully with colour, perspectives and techniques.
After moving to Paris in 1886 he became fascinated with impressionism and the delicate elegance of Japanese imagery. Rhythmic brush strokes and contrasting colours would define his artwork henceforth.
The 1890 masterpiece that inspired Bugaboo's homage to the Dutch icon depicts cream almond blossom against the backdrop of cloudless azure skies. Entwined orchid branches inspired the Van Gogh edition's coated khaki chassis, while the seat unit boasts Bugaboo's signature Petrol Blue accent.
Our first impression
Thanks to Bugaboo we were lucky enough to preview the Van Gogh edition at our offices this week. Naturally we loved the unique twist on one of our bestselling Bugaboo pushchairs.
The Van Gogh edition's coated khaki chassis boasted a subtle metallic sheen while the eye-catching Almond Blossom canopy was exquisitely detailed up close and tastefully striking from afar.
