With a company tagline of ‘adapt & survive’ there is no doubt that phil & teds is a super practical brand that helps us to adjust to life as parents however at which point should the two meet and should we have to compromise on style for practicality?
phil & teds have always made brilliantly functional pushchairs however over the last few years they have really upped their game in the style stakes and by simplifying the overall look of their strollers and adding some gorgeous new fabrics, phil & teds have managed to create some real Instagram worthy wheels and today I want to look at my favourite pushchair in the range; the phil & teds Dash.
With the Dash you have a whole range of options so whether you are using it for one child, twins or a newborn and a toddler this pushchair can grow and adapt with your family in the most simple way – and who doesn’t want simple when you have two little’s to contend with?!
From birth the Dash is newborn ready and the lay flat seat unit means it can be used from day 1 however if you want something parent facing and a little more snug there is a carrycot available to keep your little one cosy and comfortable for around 6 months long.
The seat unit itself is a huge 60cm high and is tested up to 25kg which is about 10kg more than most other pushchairs in the UK (the standard is usally around 15kg) offering longevity and peace of mind that your little one wont outgrow the seat.
The hand operated brake that is located on the handlebar and makes putting the brake on and off easy for mum and dad, and the wheels are puncture proof as well as being loaded with lots of suspension for a super smooth ride. The wheels also have a really unique ‘kerb pop’ feature that makes getting your tribe up and down kerbs easier than ever before.
I love the little pocket on the side on the hood where you can store your valuables but there is also a headphone jack so you can listen to music or chat on the phone whilst you stroll. The seat unit has an adjustable back and foot rest for your little one to afternoon snooze and the extendable sun hood will keep them protected and offers great shade on sunnier days with a UPF of 50+.
As mentioned before the Dash can easily be transformed into a stroller for two with the addition of a double kit and the double kit seat can also be used to parent face if there is just one little in the stroller too! The Dash can also be used with a car seat for easy travelling so you don’t have to wake your sleeping newborn!
The dash is available in a few different colours (I love the grey marl!!) and the whole range can be shopped here. Don’t forget to let us know what you think of the phil & teds Dash.
