September is here again and we have arrived at the worlds largest nursery trade show; Kind und Jugend and we are excited to share with you the latest and greatest products from our favourite brands.
A real life Aston Martin and a collection designed by a princess, I can confirm that Silver Cross did not disappoint. Firstly we saw a large extension of their existing collaboration with Aston Martin and the range will include the most beautiful cot, a carbon fibre reflex buggy and of course the amazing Silver Cross Surf.
Silver Cross also launched the most beautiful collection with HRH Princess Marie-Chantal who even visited the stand to unveil the collection on Thursday – how amazing! The collection includes furniture, bedding, a reflex pushchair and a Kensington (were hoping we may see this again for a certain royal baby!!)
The most exciting launch from iCandy has to be the new Peach which is due to be available around April 2018 and although we can't show you any pictures just yet, trust me when I say it is beautiful! There will be 3 chassis colours and 4 fabric colours that can be bought in any combination and for a pushchair and carrycot, the Peach will be £999.
Next up we have the fabulous collaboration between iCandy and Landrover, a 4 wheel all terrain finished beautifully with distinctive Landrover touches. This beautiful travel system will be £1500 and is definitely worth a look if you're in the market for something extra special.
Finally we have the new and improved iCandy Raspberry, complete with a carrycot and some lovely new colours. For just the pushchair the Raspberry is £580 and would be great for a handy second stroller and if you want to use the Raspberry from birth the carrycot is £180.
Wraps! We are so pleased to see some fabulous new wraps from Ergobaby which will be available at the end of September 2017! The wraps are available in a few different colours and they have a handy pocket within the wrap that allows you to quickly and easily fold the wrap away, it could even be store in your changing bag. The wrap will be £49.90
The BeSafe iZi Modular is a car seat we all know and love but a new limited edition colour will be available from approximately early October 2017. The colour is a beautiful forest green and for every one sold, BeSafe will plant a tree!! There are very limited amounts of this colour so if you love it as much as we do, definitely pick this up asap.
The big launch from BeSafe this year is a new high back booster seat: the BeSafe iZi Flex iSize. The biggest thing to note here is that this seat is iSize approved, something we have only seen from 0+ and group 1 car seats so far so this is a great launch for group 2/3 seats! The iZi Flex iSize also has a flexible width which allows you to have three seats in the back of your car and we can also see the SIP+ attachment on this seat, offering excellent side impact protection.
The Britax Dualfix iSize is finally here and as it is due to be launched in October 2017, we don’t have long to wait before you will be seeing this car seat in store too. As an extended rearward facing car seat, the Dualfix iSize can be used up to 4 years old with the option to turn your little one forward facing should you need to aswell. The Dualfix iSize has 6 recline positions both forward and rearward facing and just like the older model, the newest version has the brilliant 360 degree rotation meaning getting baby out is still as easy as it was before! The colour choice is a huge 9 colours including a beautiful cream marble colour which is absolutely gorgeous and with a retail price of £430 this product fits in perfectly with similar products we have seen in the market.
We also saw the Britax Holiday, a lightweight buggy with both a single and double version.
HUB or ‘Hello Urban Beauty’ is the newest release from Joolz and is much smaller and lightweight than anything else we have seen before from the brand. The HUB has a lay flat seat unit, and the option to have an additional carrycot to be used from birth. The HUB will retail at £549 for the pushchair, the carrycot will be an extra £195, we expect to see the launch of this new pushchair in April 2018.
Joolz will also be releasing two new colours for the Joolz Geo2 in Summer 2018 which you can see below.
As always Egg have really pushed the boundaries with the new collection for 2018 and a highlight comes in the form of a rose gold chassis and black glitter fabrics, a new edition which everybody loved. This is expected to retail at around £1200 and be available from early 2018.
Earlier in the year egg also launched the Quail, a lightweight stroller that would be perfect if you have a little less space or you are looking for a second pushchair that isn’t quite as heavy. The Quail will be released around November/December and egg have confirmed 4 colourways that are expected to retail at £599 for the pushchair and an extra £149 for the carrycot which is suitable from birth.
One of the biggest launches for this year from Maxi Cosi is the AxissFix Air, which will be available from mid October 2017 and is expected to retail at £550.00 The AxissFix Air can rearward face until your child is around 2 years old and then will turn forward facing until they are approximately 4 years old.
Upon impact, the airbag inflates and acts to ‘catch’ your child as they are moved forward in the car seat and reduce the risk of injury.
Maxi Cosi will also launch a great collaboration with Star Wars this year and although a lot more subtle than expected, I actually really like it! The collection is for the Maxi Cosi Rodi car seat and if perfect for the little stormtrooper in your life!
We absolutely loved this year’s Quinny by Rachel Zoe collaboration and the next one I think I love even more! The next collection will be available on the Quinny Zapp Flex and is very stylish in black and white with a hint of pink glitter for something a little extra special.
Rose gold clearly isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and as well as the egg, Oyster has had a little rose gold make over too which will be available from November 2017. We expect this to retail at £598 including carrycot which if you’re looking for something a little more affordable, could be the one for you!
