The Dalley family’s review of the Maxi-Cosi Laika

Choosing the perfect stroller can be difficult! As can letting go of the beautiful pram, you paid hundreds of pounds for - prior to your little bundle of joy’s arrival. If lugging around a frame, an extra seat and those clunky wheels seem to be getting all too much, even for something as simple as a quick trip to the shops, then it might be time that you too invest in a stroller.

When every stroller looks the same, feels the same and pretty much is the same, it’s way too easy to just pick one that to you looks the best, with no further thought. This is a mistake I’ve admittedly made in the past.

After searching high and low, I finally found the perfect stroller to fit all of me and my baby’s needs - the Maxi-Cosi Laika!

The main features I was looking for in a stroller were for it to be lightweight and lay completely flat and I was delighted to discover that this does both. I can fold it with one hand, carry it with one hand and even push it with one hand! it’s just perfect for busy multi-tasking mums like myself.

My little boy Dexter has a habit of dropping his head when he sleeps, as I’m sure most babies do! This is why it was crucial that the stroller I chose lay totally flat. It is completely hassle and bump free when adjusting the seat from upright to horizontal, with just the click of one small clasp, - making sure his sleep isn’t interrupted if he falls asleep in the upright position.

The extending hood is an added and surprise benefit too. With the option to unzip it, for full extension and protection against brightness, sunshine, rain and wind, it’s safe to say that this feature surpassed even my high expectations, when it comes to versatility. With the weather being hit and miss in the U.K especially, you never really know what you’re going to encounter and with this extending hood, it has you covered for any eventuality - quite literally!

Once folded, the stroller can be carried easily over one arm, using the strap, which is nicely positioned between the back wheels. For rocky or sandy trips this was a life saver. Baby in one arm and pram in the other!

The stroller itself looks classy and premium, with a sleek chassis, extra padded seat and leather look handle bars. It is a compact stroller that offers the complete package, with a luxurious finish. The Maxi-Cosi Laika is convenient, lightweight and stylish, which is everything I was looking for in my purchase. There is enough storage underneath for a few essentials or shopping bags and in my opinion, this is the perfect city stroller and a true godsend to any parent living a hectic on-the-go lifestyle.
